Crisis Response

Church-Lead Community Service

In this series Rev. Kathy Barton LMSW teaches how the church can respond to a crisis that has affected its community – whether it's a significant auto-accident, a public shooting, or a natural disaster. This course covers many topics related to a crisis: pre-crisis planning and preparation, crisis management, crisis defusing, crisis debriefing, and more. It discusses the aftermath of a crisis and covers subjects related to helping affected individuals.  This course defines the goals and actions needed for a church to become a caring influence in crisis management for its community.
